I'd rather start scanning on my general use desktop PC that runs Vista Home Premium 64 bit, but Windows Fax and Scan only comes with the Business version of Vista. I've Googled for alternatives but all I've found are recommendations for fax software, which I don't need.

How to run a scan

- Download this tool and open it.
- Select the type of scan you want run and start the scan.
- Review the scan results displayed on screen. For detailed detection results, view the log at %SYSTEMROOT%debugmsert.log.
To remove this tool, delete the executable file (msert.exe by default).
